What this tool does
The strength checker estimates how your password scores on simple local heuristics: length, character-class variety, and a few common weak patterns. It is a teaching aid—not a lab-grade crack-time oracle and not a substitute for breach screening.
How it works & privacy
Analysis runs entirely in your browser with JavaScript. The password is not sent to createpassword.in for scoring. Clear the field when you finish on a shared device.
Security considerations
- Prioritize length and uniqueness over checkbox-style complexity alone (aligned with NIST-style guidance).
- A high score does not mean the password is unused in public dumps—use the Password Breach Checker.
- Do not treat estimated crack times on marketing sites as guarantees; attacker resources vary.
- Store unique passwords in a password manager and enable MFA on important accounts.
Limitations
This tool does not download full breach dictionaries, does not model site-specific hashing costs, and cannot see whether you reused the password elsewhere.

How to use it
- Type or paste a password into the field above. The score updates as you type.
- Read the strength label and percentage, then review any “Areas for Improvement” tips.
- Adjust length or character variety based on the feedback, or generate a fresh password with the password generator.
- Confirm the final candidate is not a known breached string using the breach checker.
Example
Typing qwerty1 scores low and prompts you to add length and symbols. A 16-character random string such as k#9Pz!vQ2x$Wb7Rm scores high on these heuristics — but remember that a high score still says nothing about whether that exact string has appeared in a breach, so screen it separately.
